JUST TWO BROTHERS BUILDING HOUSES!
Brad grew up in central Kansas one hour west of Hutchinson. He enjoyed being from a small town and finds that Spring Hill reminds him of home, still being a relatively small community. Brad started his career in construction drafting house plans by hand in junior high. After high school he moved to Overland Park and the two brothers began buying and remodeling homes. Brad also worked at a civil engineer as a draftsman drawing lot stake drawings for builders. Together over the years Brad and Trent have remodeled hundreds of homes in the metro area, always focusing on trying to be the best home on the block and the most affordable in the neighborhood as a way to move their properties quickly. Along the way Brad met his beautiful wife Dawn and had two children; Parker and Coen. He built their home in Southern Johnson County just outside of Spring Hill In 2010. Due to a significantly improving real estate market, Brad and Trent were forced to become builders due to a lack of affordable housing to remodel. Although the change was out of necessity, it was soon apparent that they found their calling. Brad has preformed all trades in all types of construction both residential and commercial, but he always found his passion was making a home for someone; and he finds it humbling that others trust him with the safety of their family in the homes he builds. He considers that trust a great honor. He enjoys improving his yard and landscaping under direct supervision of his wife Dawn. He loves teaching his two boys the importance of construction safety equipment and keeping your work area clean. Above all, he loves the challenge of providing for his family and building their lives together.
Trent grew up in the same small town and currently resides in Overland Park. He recently remodeled a home on 5 acres in the middle of Overland Park to satisfy that need for a rural feel in his life. He worked for an appraisal company through college and found a love of properties. It was soon apparent that he had a knack for seeing potential value of homes and began developing a business model of remodeling for resale. He attended UMKC as a business major and before even graduating, he was applying his entrepreneurial spirit buying and remodeling homes. During his years of remodeling, he acquired his real estate license so he could control the marketing of his product as well. Trent continued to remodel, resale, list, build, and acquire properties in the Kansas City real estate market for over 20 years. Living on his little big city farm surrounded by family, chickens, ducks, and a good ol' swimmin hole, Trent enjoys spending time with his wife Geri and 4 children Cole, Cruz, Grant, & Ava and being active in his Faith community. Growing up in a small western Kansas town taught Trent to prize honesty, hard work, and integrity, and he applies those qualities to every home he and his brother build. Whether you are building a small ranch on acreage or a 2 story in a subdivision, Trent and the team at Teager Custom Homes are ready to work for you.
